KRC0501

KUKA Robot KRC0501 - <Interrupt or Trigger> not defined

<Interrupt or Trigger> not defined

This alarm indicates that an interrupt signal or trigger input has been activated on the KUKA KRC controller, but no interrupt handler or corresponding program logic has been defined to process it. The controller has detected an active interrupt request that lacks the necessary configuration or subroutine assignment in the robot's control program or I/O mapping.

Common Causes

  • Interrupt input configured in hardware I/O but no corresponding interrupt handler defined in KRL program
  • External trigger signal activated from peripheral device without assigned interrupt service routine
  • Interrupt configuration deleted or lost during program editing without removing the physical input signal
  • Hardware I/O interrupt enabled in system configuration but program lacks INTERRUPT declaration or ON statement
  • Stray electrical signal or noise on interrupt input line triggering false activation

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify all active interrupt inputs in the KRC system configuration and cross-reference with defined interrupt handlers in the KRL program
  2. 2Define the appropriate interrupt service routine using ON INTERRUPT statement in the robot program if intentionally using this trigger
  3. 3Disable the interrupt input in the I/O configuration if it is not required for the application
  4. 4Check physical wiring and signal conditioning of the interrupt input for electrical noise or loose connections
  5. 5Review program logic in the .src file and ensure all interrupt declarations match the hardware configuration in the system files
  6. 6Reset the controller and perform a full program reload after making interrupt configuration changes
