KUKA Robot KRC0454 - ** IS NOT A MEMORY DUMP

** IS NOT A MEMORY DUMP

Insufficient storage space exists on the KRC4 controller hard disk to write a data file or configuration block received from an external source or created temporarily by the runtime server. The system detected this condition while attempting to persist data and cannot complete the write operation. The storage medium must be cleaned or expanded before operations can resume.

Common Causes

  • Hard disk capacity exhausted from accumulated program files, log data, or backup archives on KRC4 controller
  • Temporary file cache directory filled with residual data from failed WorkVisual downloads or interrupted file transfers
  • System partition consumed by verbose diagnostic logging or runtime trace buffers enabled in KRC configuration
  • Large program file or configuration bundle received from WorkVisual exceeds available free space on target partition
  • Previous failed installation or rollback operation left orphaned files consuming disk space

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Connect to the KRC4 controller via WorkVisual and navigate to the System Information panel to display disk usage statistics
  2. 2Delete unnecessary backup files, old program versions, and archived log files from the controller storage using file manager
  3. 3Clear the temporary file directory by executing the disk cleanup utility through KRC4 maintenance menu or terminal
  4. 4Reduce diagnostic logging verbosity by adjusting trace buffer settings and disabling unnecessary runtime monitoring in configuration
  5. 5Verify the size of the data block or program file to be written and ensure available free space exceeds the required size plus 10 percent margin
  6. 6If persistent space shortage occurs, perform a controlled reset and selective file restoration to reclaim significant disk capacity
