KUKA Robot KRC0174 - NO MORE SYSTEM MEMORY AVAILABLE

NO MORE SYSTEM MEMORY AVAILABLE

The KRC4 controller does not have sufficient system RAM available to execute the SHOW VAR command or SET INFO instruction. This memory constraint is dependent on the output value length and the current state of system variables and work memory. Freeing up memory resources or reducing variable output scope is required to proceed.

Common Causes

  • Large number of variables declared in KRL program consuming controller heap memory
  • SHOW VAR command attempting to display excessively large array or structure variables
  • Multiple programs running simultaneously consuming shared system memory resources
  • Memory leak in KRL application due to improper variable deallocation or infinite loop allocation
  • Controller background tasks and operating system services consuming available RAM

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Clear the SHOW VAR command and check available memory through Diagnosis > System Information menu
  2. 2Review and optimize the KRL source code to remove unnecessary global variable declarations
  3. 3Stop all non-essential background programs and clear the program stack in WorkVisual
  4. 4Perform a controlled shutdown and cold restart of the KRC4 controller to reset memory allocation
  5. 5Use SET INFO with limited variable scope instead of SHOW VAR on the entire variable set
  6. 6Contact KUKA service if memory issue persists after restart, as it may indicate hardware memory degradation
