Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to access system menu, select 'Restart NC Software' to reinitialize all NC services without hardware reboot.

Check System Status

Navigate to MOD function → System Info → Service Status to verify all TNC services are running properly after restart.

Verify Configuration Access

Access Setup → General → Machine Parameters to confirm configuration server is responding and parameter access is restored.

Clear System Cache

In MOD function → System → Clear Cache, select 'Configuration Cache' to remove potentially corrupted temporary files.

Always backup current part programs before clearing system cache

Check Memory Usage

Navigate to MOD → System Info → Memory Status to view current RAM utilization and available memory pools.

Close Unnecessary Applications

Exit any non-essential programs running on the TNC system, including unused editor windows or background applications.

Reduce Active Program Size

If running large part programs, consider splitting into smaller subroutines or reducing look-ahead buffer in machine parameter MP7680.

MP7680 (look-ahead lines) typically set between 100-500 depending on available memory

Restart System

Perform complete system reboot to clear memory fragmentation and reset all memory allocations to default state.

Check Network Configuration

Navigate to Setup → General → Network Settings and verify localhost (127.0.0.1) is properly configured and accessible.

Test Internal Communication

In MOD function → System → Network Test, run loopback test to verify internal TCP/IP stack is functioning correctly.

Reset Network Stack

Disable and re-enable network interface in Network Settings, then restart NC software to reinitialize communication services.

Verify Port Availability

Check that required system ports (typically 19000-19999 range) are not blocked by examining firewall settings in system configuration.

Run File System Check

Access MOD → System → Maintenance → File System Check to scan for and repair file system errors on system drive.

Check Disk Space

Navigate to MOD → System Info → Drive Status and verify sufficient free space (minimum 500MB) on system partition.

Verify Configuration Files

Check integrity of TNC.SYS and machine configuration files in Setup → General → Configuration Management.

Backup and Restore

If file corruption detected, restore system configuration from most recent backup using Setup → Backup/Restore → System Configuration.
