HEIDENHAIN 130-00A2 - File access not possible
This alarm indicates the TNC control's file system layer cannot complete a read, write, or access operation on the requested file. The root cause is typically either physical storage medium failure, file system corruption, permission conflicts, or the file being locked by concurrent access attempts. Network-related access failures can also trigger this alarm when using remote file storage.
HEIDENHAIN 130-00A2 - File access not possible
File access not possible
File access is blocked because the drive cannot position within the file, or the file pointer is not at the start of a line. This indicates a low-level storage or filesystem issue.

Safety
Causes and Fixes
Check file attributes
Press PGM MGT key, navigate to the problematic file, and select 'Edit file properties' or use the softkey menu to view file attributes. Verify if the file shows read-only status.
On network drives, file locking may not always be visible in TNC file manager - check permissions on the host server.
Close all active file sessions
Exit any open NC programs or PLC programs that may be accessing the file. Check if the file is currently selected in the 'Test Run' or 'Program Run' operating modes.
Do not force-close files during active machining operations - switch to a safe operating mode first.
Remove write protection
In file manager, select the file and use the 'Change attributes' softkey to remove read-only status. For CF card files, verify the physical write-protect tab on the card is not engaged.
Reboot control if lock persists
If file locks remain after closing programs, perform a controlled reboot via MOD > System shutdown > Reboot to clear all file handles and process locks.
