Check that skip signal input (typically G31 uses skip signal 1-4) is properly configured in parameter 6200-6203 and connected to the machine.
Verify that any macro variables referencing skip position data (#5061-#5068 for 1st skip signal) are only called AFTER a successful G31 skip measurement has been completed.
Ensure G31 command is programmed in a valid movement mode and not called while in a canned cycle or other incompatible G-code state.
