KRC1012

KUKA Robot KRC1012 - “DISTANCE”: ONLY 1 OR 0 ALLOWED 2349

“DISTANCE”: ONLY 1 OR 0 ALLOWED 2349

This alarm indicates that an invalid value has been assigned to the DISTANCE parameter in a KRL program object. The DISTANCE parameter only accepts binary values: 0 (disabled) or 1 (enabled), and a value of 2 or higher was provided instead.

Common Causes

  • Incorrect variable assignment where DISTANCE was set to a value other than 0 or 1
  • Logic error in conditional statements that determine the DISTANCE parameter value
  • Uninitialized variable being passed to DISTANCE parameter, containing residual data
  • Copy-paste error or typo when entering the DISTANCE value in the program
  • Confusion between DISTANCE parameter and another numeric parameter with different valid ranges

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the KRL program code and locate all assignments to the DISTANCE parameter
  2. 2Verify that DISTANCE is set exclusively to either 0 or 1 before execution
  3. 3Check any conditional logic or variable calculations that feed into the DISTANCE parameter
  4. 4Initialize all variables related to DISTANCE explicitly at program start to prevent undefined states
  5. 5Use the KUKA smartPAD diagnostic interface to trace variable values during program execution
  6. 6Reload and recompile the affected KRL module to clear any cached incorrect values
