KUKA Robot KRC0663 - Start locked <string>

Start locked <string>

The robot start command is currently locked because one or more program blocks are being inserted into PROCOR, the procedure block manager in the KRC4 controller. The system prevents motion execution during active program block insertion to maintain data integrity and prevent undefined behavior. This is a deliberate safety lock rather than a fault condition.

Common Causes

  • User is actively adding or editing blocks in the PROCOR procedure manager via WorkVisual or smartPAD interface
  • Background process is modifying program blocks while a start command is issued
  • PROCOR block insertion operation did not complete properly, leaving the lock in place
  • Multiple users or interfaces attempting simultaneous block modifications to the same program
  • Network synchronization delay between WorkVisual project and KRC4 controller during block update

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Check the WorkVisual or smartPAD interface to confirm if a PROCOR block insertion dialog or operation is currently active
  2. 2Cancel any pending block insertion or modification operations in the PROCOR manager
  3. 3Wait for the block insertion operation to complete fully, as indicated by the removal of the dialog or progress indicator
  4. 4Ensure only one user interface is connected to the KRC4 controller during program modifications
  5. 5Power cycle the KRC4 controller if the lock persists after all PROCOR operations are confirmed closed
  6. 6Verify network connectivity between WorkVisual and the controller and attempt the start command again after re-establishing the connection
