KUKA Robot KRC0182 - FILE <file name> NOT FOUND

FILE <file name> NOT FOUND

This alarm indicates that a required parameter file for absolute accuracy calibration is missing from the robot controller's file system. The KRC controller cannot locate the necessary calibration data file needed to execute absolutely accurate (AA) positioning functions, which prevents the robot from achieving the specified accuracy specifications during program execution.

Common Causes

  • Parameter file was deleted or corrupted during system maintenance or update
  • File system corruption or disk error on the controller's storage device
  • Incorrect file path or filename in the robot program or system configuration
  • Robot controller was restored from backup without the corresponding parameter files
  • Network drive or external storage containing the file became inaccessible or disconnected

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Check the robot program for the correct filename and verify the file path syntax matches KUKA naming conventions
  2. 2Navigate to the KRC file system using the teach pendant or WorkVisual and confirm the parameter file exists in the expected directory
  3. 3Restore the missing parameter file from a known working backup or from the original robot commissioning documentation
  4. 4Verify file permissions and ensure the KRC controller has read access to the parameter file location
  5. 5Use WorkVisual to rebuild or regenerate the parameter files if available through the project configuration
  6. 6If the issue persists, perform a system diagnostic check and contact KUKA service to restore factory calibration files or recalibrate the robot
