HEIDENHAIN 2A0-0016 - Caution: Prepos. height defined!

Caution: Prepos. height defined!

A point with pre-positioning height has been hidden or disabled. This may cause collision risk during subsequent moves.

Root Cause Summary

Alarm 2A0-0016 occurs when a point in the TNC's point table has been hidden or disabled while still having an active pre-positioning height (PREPOS) value defined. This creates a potential collision risk as the control cannot properly execute the pre-positioning movement to the hidden point.

Safety

  • Refer to Heidenhain service manual
  • Ensure qualified technician performs repairs

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

    Access point table management

Press TOOL key, then select 'Point Table' from the TNC menu structure.

Use softkey 'SHOW ALL' to display hidden points temporarily

  2. 2

    Identify hidden points with PREPOS

Scroll through point table and look for points with status 'H' (hidden) that have values in the PREPOS column.

Do not unhide points without verifying tool clearance paths

  3. 3

Clear PREPOS value or unhide point

Either delete the PREPOS height value for the hidden point or change point status from 'H' to active if point is still needed.

Document original PREPOS values before clearing in case restoration is needed
