HEIDENHAIN 130-03F1 - Drive not found
This alarm fundamentally indicates a communication failure on the digital drive bus where the TNC expects to find a drive at hexadecimal address 3F1 but receives no valid response. The root cause is either a physical connectivity issue preventing bus communication, incorrect configuration creating address mismatches, or hardware failure of the drive amplifier itself preventing it from responding to the control's polling requests.

Safety
Causes and Fixes
Inspect physical cable connections
With machine power OFF, inspect the CC6xx cable from TNC rear panel connector X116 (or X126 for additional axes) through the drive chain. Check specifically at the drive module position corresponding to address 3F1. Look for bent pins, loose locking collars, or cable damage.
Always disconnect main power and wait 5 minutes for DC bus capacitors to discharge before handling drive components.
Verify cable routing and shielding
Check that drive bus cables are routed away from power cables and that cable shielding is properly connected at both ends. Poor shielding can cause intermittent communication failures that appear as drive not found.
Component cables should never be routed in the same cable tray as motor power cables. Maintain minimum 200mm separation.
Test with known good cable
If available, temporarily replace the suspect CC6xx cable with a known good cable of the same type and length. Power up and observe if alarm clears, confirming cable as root cause.
Always keep spare CC6xx cables in your service kit with various lengths (1m, 3m, 5m) for rapid field diagnosis.
