Fanuc 469 - Fssb parameter error
Alarm 469 indicates a mismatch or corruption in FSSB communication parameters between the CNC control unit and servo amplifiers. This typically occurs when parameter settings don't match the physical hardware configuration, after battery replacement causing parameter loss, or during system updates where FSSB settings weren't properly restored.
Fanuc 469 - Fssb parameter error
FSSB PARAMETER ERROR
An FSSB (Fanuc Serial Servo Bus) error has been detected related to fssb parameter error. The serial bus communication between the CNC and servo amplifiers is affected.
Root Cause Summary
Alarm 469 indicates a mismatch or corruption in FSSB communication parameters between the CNC control unit and servo amplifiers. This typically occurs when parameter settings don't match the physical hardware configuration, after battery replacement causing parameter loss, or during system updates where FSSB settings weren't properly restored.
Safety
Causes and Fixes
Access FSSB diagnostic screen (SYSTEM > FSSB) and verify all expected axes are detected with correct amplifier models and channel assignments.
Compare parameter 8111 (FSSB axis control) and 8112 (FSSB channel assignment) against actual amplifier DIP switch or rotary switch settings for each axis.
Verify parameter 8102 (number of FSSB axes) matches the physical number of amplifiers connected to the bus.
If parameters are incorrect, restore from verified backup or manually correct, then perform full power cycle (wait 30 seconds after shutdown before restart).
Incorrect parameter changes can cause unexpected machine motion. Verify all settings before powering on in Auto mode.
